As the impact of COVID-19 continues to evolve throughout the Americas and globally, we are all adapting to different environments, at home and at work. Our primary concern during this extraordinary health crisis continues to be the health and well-being of our employees and all of our constituents, including the communities where we operate.
Armstrong World Industries is rooted in longstanding operating principles that fairly balance the interests of all stakeholders. We are fully engaged in contingency plans to continue to operate as an essential business and provide needed solutions for construction projects, including new and existing healthcare and emergency facilities.
- All of our plants, including our WAVE Joint Venture facilities, are currently operational, and we are actively managing our product and raw material inventory and sourcing. Rest assured, we will do everything we safely can to continue to serve our customers.
Working Differently but Safely & Effectively
- We continue to observe the health and safety guidelines issued by the CDC for our employees across all facilities. These measures include social distancing; frequent sanitization and hand-washing; limited site access to essential and healthy workers; and suspended business travel. We have also instituted an extended emergency paid leave policy for those employees directly impacted by the coronavirus.
- As always, we have numerous digital tools and platforms in place to connect with our customers and business partners, while our support functions and headquarters employees, including our sales force, continue to work from home.
With our dedicated employees, our robust balance sheet and substantial cash liquidity, we are well-positioned and committed to help our employees, customers and communities get through these challenging times. I have every confidence that, working together, we will all get there.
