Effective Date: 16-May-2024

Like most companies, Armstrong and third parties use tracking technologies to deliver targeted advertising based on your interests. Under some state laws, sharing data for online advertising may be considered a share and/or sale of information.
Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect and process your Personal Information on our Digital Platform. Please also review this Cookie Policy. If you have any questions, contact us via email at privacy@armstrongceilings.com or by calling 1-877-276-7876.
I. What are cookies?
A “cookie” is a string of information that our Digital Platform stores on a user’s computer, and that the user’s browser provides to the Digital Platform each time the user submits a query to the Digital Platform. The purpose of a cookie is to support the functionality of our Digital Platform, for example by keeping track of your visual preferences or controlling the frequency of “pop-up” windows, and identifying the user as a unique user of the Digital Platform.
II. Why do we use cookies?
We engage third-parties to serve ads to you about our products and services as you browse the Internet. These third-party providers may use their own cookies tags to track your online activities and purchases in order to deliver targeted advertising based on your interests. We may also use cookies to customize your experience on our Digital Platform to your interests, to ensure that you do not repeatedly see content or informational messages that may be of no interest to you, to store your password so you do not have to re-enter it each time you visit our Digital Platform, and to improve the performance and usefulness of our Digital Platform.
III. Other Tracking Technologies
We and others may use a variety of technologies to collect information about your device and use of our Digital Platform. The technologies used are listed below.
Cookies – Cookies are small data files that are sent from a website’s server and are stored on your device’s hard drive either for only the duration of your visit ("session cookies") or for a fixed period ("persistent cookies"). Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server. We use cookies to understand user preferences, navigation, locations, and for targeted advertisements.
Web Beacons – Web beacons are small, transparent images that are embedded in web pages, applications, and emails that are sometimes called “clear gifs," “single pixel gifs", "page tags" or “web bugs." We use web beacons to track the web pages you visit, to test the effectiveness of our marketing, and to find out if an email has been opened and acted on.
Javascript – Javascript are code snippets embedded in various parts of websites and applications that facilitate a variety of operations including accelerating the refresh speed of certain functionality or monitoring usage of various online components.
Entity Tags -- Entity Tags are HTTP code mechanisms that allow portions of websites to be stored or “cached" within your browser and validates these caches when the website is opened, accelerating website performance since the web server does not need to send a full response if the content has not changed.
HTML5 Local Storage – HTML5 local storage allows data from websites to be stored or “cached" within your browser to store and retrieve data in HTML5 pages when the website is revisited.
Google Analytics - We also use Google Analytics and Google Analytics Advertising Features, namely Remarketing with Google Analytics, to assist us in better understanding our Digital Platform visitors and serve more relevant advertisements. Google uses first party cookies, identifiers for mobile devices, or similar technology to collect usage data. Based on this information, Google compiles data about Digital Platform traffic and interactions, which we use to offer better user experiences, perform analytics, analyze traffic, personalize content, and offer ads that match your interest. You can learn more about how Google Analytics collects and uses information from our Digital Platform at: www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. Visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/ to get the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. You can also opt out of advertising cookies using the Google Ad Settings.
Adobe Analytics – We also use Adobe Analytics and Adobe Experience Cloud Advertising Services (Audience Manager and Ad Cloud) to personalize and improve the performance of our Digital Platform and marketing messages by collecting and analyzing information, such as clicks made by visitors on their websites. These services also allow us to provide you more relevant advertising. You can learn more about how Adobe Analytics collects and uses information from our Digital Platform at https://www.adobe.com/privacy/policy.html Visit https://www.adobe.com/privacy/opt-out.html#customeruse to opt out of Adobe Experience Cloud Advertising Services.
We may use these technical methods to analyze the traffic patterns on our Digital Platform, such as the frequency with which users visit various parts of the Digital Platform. These technical methods may involve the transmission of information either directly to us or to another party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf. We also may use these technical methods in HTML emails that we send to determine whether the recipients have opened those emails and/or clicked on links in those emails. The information from use of these technical methods may be collected in a form that is personally identifiable.
IV. What choices do you have?
You can change your cookie preferences any time. You can revisit the cookie consent banner and change your preferences or withdraw your consent right away or by clicking the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on the bottom of our Digital Platform. You can also use the Global Privacy Control, which provides an opt-out preference signal.
